ABOUT THE PROJECT
For a long time, I have had an idea in my mind: what would happen if I interviewed people interested in dancefilm? The idea sounded tempting, I even thought to bring it to the audiovisual, but I didn’t have any specific aim: what would I ask? For what? About what? How could I lead the interview? Who could I interview?…
Now, after a lot of thinking and rethinking, I have defined the idea and outlined it:
What could be better than speaking with the selected artists of the festival? What could be better than talking about screendance through their own works? From the interviews of the creators inside of this hybrid genre, I can make a little personal research and understand what screendance, dancefilm and videodance are, new ways to approach them or new ways to face them.
After 3 years, we changed the name from Screendance Visions to Dancefilm Visions.
It started all being posts in a blog and now it's a digital magazine that you can access for free.
SOBRE EL PROYECTO
Durante mucho tiempo, ha habido una idea rondando por mi cabeza: ¿qué pasaría si entrevistara a gente interesada en la cinedanza? La idea me parecía tentadora, incluso pensé en llevarla al terreno audiovisual, pero no tenía ninguna finalidad: ¿qué preguntaría? ¿Para qué? ¿Y sobre qué? ¿Qué hilo conductor utilizaría? ¿A quién entrevistaría?…
Ahora, después de pensarlo y repensarlo, he concretado más la idea y la he perfilado:
¡Qué mejor que preguntar a la gente seleccionada del festival! ¡Qué mejor que hablar del screendance a través de sus propias obras! A partir de las entrevistas de creadores dentro de este género híbrido, puedo hacer una pequeña investigación personal y entender poco a poco en más profundidad qué es la danza para la pantalla, la cinedanza y la videodanza, nuevas maneras de verlas o nuevas maneras de afrontarla.
Después de 3 años, la revista cambió su nombre de Screendance Visions a Dancefilm Visions.
Empezó como entradas en un blog y ahora es una revista digital a la que podéis acceder de manera gratuita.
